[Artifacts] Swift-footed Achilles…

Bell Krater (mixing bowl) depicting Achilles (seated), his mother Thetis and her father Nereus with a Nereid (sea nymph).
Another piece that is part of the Greco-Roman exhibit over at the Art Institute of Chicago, we see a bell krater or a mixing bowl dating to approximately 450 BCE and containing the image of Achilles (seated on the throne). He is given an offering by his mother Thetis, a sea goddess. She is accompanied by her father, Nereus and a Nereid, a sea nymph.
