ABOUT

Petros Koutoupis, a full-blooded Greek fluent in the language, has been a student of Septuagintal Greek and Biblical Hebrew for quite some time now; with additional knowledge in Aramaic, Ugaritic, and Akkadian grammar. His work focuses specifically on the Iron Age of both Mesopotamian and Levantine history, leading to a quest to find the origins of the Holy Scriptures called the Old Testament.

In his recent research, Petros has been focusing on the Documentary Hypothesis and has made a courageous attempt to place a clearer date to the writings under the author we refer to as the Yahwist (J). As a result, our modern understanding of biblical history had to be re-evaluated for future scholarship. The author does all of this successfully. In fact the start of his research has been published in An Adopted Legacy: Neo-Assyrian Origin to Hebrew Lore (2007) and Biblical Origins: An Adopted Legacy (2008).

For a short while, Petros had also taken an active role in the Open Scrolls Project to aid in the translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls with an end goal to make it freely available to the general public.

While most of his career has been spent in the computer engineering/development field (more specifically UNIX/Linux development), his passion of the past has driven him for the past six years (2002-2008) to research and create the works present before you today. It was in grade school that Petros had started to appreciate history but it was not until his college career that a professor helped him to realize where his true destiny lied. So while he ventured off to obtain his Bachelors of Science in Electronic Engineering (EE), he would focus on Mesopotamian, Levantine and Egyptian history during his free time. His appreciation for the past continues to this day. This website and all the works within are a result of that.

I would like to give a special thanks to Graham Hancock for giving not only me but also everyone else the opportunity to share their research and ideas on his published Forum articles and Message Board. Without his help, my ideas would not have had the chance to reach a wider audience.
